​How do I set up the pEEpNook Feeder?

Is there a wireless version of pEEpNook?

  • After significant testing of wireless transmission configurations, we believe the reliability and convenience afforded by wires is a real benefit.  The wired setup avoids outdoor Wi-Fi connection and signal strength issues while providing an always on, no batteries needed experience.   We recognize this wired solution will not be appropriate for everyone.  Our goal is to make the pEEpNook experience as great as possible for users of our wired pEEpNook.

What if the cable gets damaged?

  • The outdoor extension cable is replaceable if damage occurs.

Is pEEpNook squirrel proof?

  • pEEpNook is designed to be pole mounted, and common deterrent measures such as placing a squirrel baffle below the pEEpNook feeder may be used.

Does the pEEpNook live stream have audio?

  • pEEpNook does not provide audio with the live stream.

How do birds feed from the seed tubes?

  • Birds reach up and draw seed from the seed ports along the bottom of the seed tube.  Some of the seed may fall onto the feeding platform as well.  This patented design allows the viewing advantages of a platform feeder while protecting most of the seed from the elements.

​​What parts are included with pEEpNook?

  • pEEpNook ships with the pEEpNook Bird Feeder, pEEpNook HD Camera, and pEEpNook TV dedicated live-streaming box.  A remote control is also included along with all connection cables.  A longer HDMI cable may be necessary depending on set up conditions.

Is the pEEpNook feeder for pole mount only?

  • We highly recommend mounting the pEEpNook Feeder on a pole or other stationary vertical surface to stabilize the video image. 

 

Do I need a phone or computer to view the pEEpNook live feed?

  • No! pEEpNook is designed to be viewed on a television or monitor with a free HDMI port.

Can I capture pictures of my birds?

  • The pEEpNook Box and app allow easy viewing and image capture at the press of a button on the included remote control.  Images are stored in the app and can be organized and easily shared.
